Wonderful week way Outback in the Paroo Shire. Spent quality time with the locals in Cunnamulla, Wyandra, Eulo and Yowah researching the background for their new ubeaut Cultural Development Plan. Things are pretty tough out this way but the wonderful welcoming people I met are extraordinarily hardy, resilient and enthusiastic. Now it’s time for the real grunt work, fashioning a plan that will help to shore up and highlight the distinctive character of the region, enhance liveability and look to add downstream economic benefit through tourism and creative business. Can’t wait to get stuck in. If only I could bring some rain.
