Youth Project Underway in Longreach

DSC_0023webJust back from an enjoyable and productive few days in Longreach working on the start up of the Youth Development Strategy. The region is looking good despite the hard times, especially the towns of Longreach, Ilfracombe and Isisford. Such great country. And many wonderful people providing an array of support and services to all parts of the community. Looking forward to my next trip and really getting stuck in to the primary research and talking with more young people and community stakeholders.

A Boost for Young People in Longreach

slider-1Look forward to spending some time in Longreach over the next few months working on the Youth Development Plan for 2017 – 2022. An initiative of the Longreach Regional Council, the plan will provide a directional framework to inform planning, decision making and resource allocation consistent with the needs and interests of the young people in the region. I’ll be looking at the primary and secondary research underpinnings of the plan, including a great deal of consultation with young people and community stakeholders. A great job with the potential to contribute to a successful plan that will make a significance difference to the lives and wellbeing of the young people in the region.
