A happy quick drive up to Yandina for a workshop with the good burghers of the Sunshine Coast region. And a great opportunity to catch up with the delightful Jenny Jones of SRC. Hopefully this workshop will be helpful in assisting with their arts events and project management activities.
It’s a fair drive from Brisbane but how great it is to be out in Wandoan. Delivering a couple of arts business workshops here over the weekend: How to write successful funding and grant applications and How to plan and manage a successful event or arts project. There’s been some good and not so good times out this way but the people are ever resilient and fantastic to work with.
Happily in Quilpie doing the ground work for the development of the Arts and Cultural Plan. This is quintessential Outback. Love it.
Fresh back from KI and time to get back to business. ArtReach my new business unit is launched – established especially to provide arts and cultural services to regional and remote Queensland. ArtReach is a planning, marketing and management consultancy providing services in arts, events and cultural tourism.
Flying one day;
walking the next. A well earned break experiencing the lush and varied landscape of the very beautiful Kangaroo Island. A welcome short break – and 90,000 steps in 3.5 days. Excellent.
On Friday 2 October I bid farewell to Flying Arts Alliance Inc. after 6 years at the helm as Executive Officer. It was a wonderful flight and I enjoyed the journey immensely. Flying Arts is a Queensland cultural icon and I feel most privileged to have been a part of its success during my tenure. Onwards and upwards FAA.
